The Clinic “Axis” attends hospital, preventive medical and consulting diagnostic qualified medical help for persons who entered into contract of voluntary health insurance with insurance company.

The Clinic of Spinal Neurosurgery «Axis» is a unique highly tailored neurosurgical clinic founded on the base of N.N. Burdenko Research Institute of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

In our clinic every patient will be offered an individual plan of treatment depending on the disease.

The following minimally invasive neurosurgical operations are performed in clinic “Axis”:

  • • Percutaneous cold ablation with the application of cold plazma in the neck and lumbar parts of spine
  • • Microsurgical removal of disk prolapse in the neck or lumbar parts of spine without/ with (if necessary) stabilization of  intervertebral segment
  • • Decompression of spinal canal in case of stenosis without/ with (if necessary) stabilization of intervertebral segment
  • • Decompression in case of spondylolisthesis with stabilization of injured segment.
  • • Radiofrequency denervation in case of radicular sindrom
  • • Radiofrequency sphygmic stimulation in case of radicular sindrom.
  • • Spine fusion in case of uncomplicated spine fractures
  • • Vertebroplastic or cyphoplastic  in case of uncomplicated spine fractures.
  • • Surgical removal of  extramedullar  tumors (meningiomes, neurinomes etc)
  • • Surgical removal of intramedullar tumors
  • • Surgical removal of spine tumors
  • • Operations on peripheral nervous system (tumors, trauma).

The operating theatre in our clinic has the following high-technology equipment:

  • • A microscope of the latest generation (“Carl Ceis”, Germany) with xenon light sourse for microsurgical operations. 10-power magnification helps to prevent complications.
  • • A special retractor and microsurgical instruments.
  • • A cauterodyne and a coagulator (“VALLEYLAB”, Switzerland) for prevention of hemorrhage.
  • • A multifunction operating table and a standby lightning system (“TRUMPF”, Germany) to perform up to date operations.
  • • An optoelectronic transformer (“Siemens”, Germany) for the instrument navigation during percutaneous and open operations.
  • • An “ArthroCare” instrument (USA) for the percutaneous nucleoplastics with application of cold plazma.
  • • A “Cosman” instrument (USA).

Besides, in our clinic we use modern anaesthetic equipment, a narcosis system “Drager” (Germany) and perfect monitoring equipment to minimize the risk of complications during and after operations.
 

We created favourable conditions for aftercare.
All the wards are equipped with orthopaedic multifunction beds with electric drive (“STIEGEMYER”, Germany) and with orthopaedic mattresses. There is also a communication system with nurses on point duty.
Each cubical has a toilet, a shower, an air-conditioner and a telephone.
